I'm Kate Gekeler, Professional Counselor Associate (PCA) in the State of Oregon, providing telehealth services to Oregon Residents.

It is my belief that meaningful change begins in spaces that are filled with compassion, connection, and unfaltering encouragement and positive regard.

I carry this into all of my work with clients. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey, and my role is to support you in moving toward a life that feels more empowered, grounded, and aligned with who you truly are. About Me

I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals and families as they navigate grief and loss, life transitions, and difficult identity issues.

Life transitions can take many forms. They may involve changes in identity, relationships, family roles, careers, or other major shifts that disrupt a sense of stability or belonging. During these times, it is common to experience anxiety, overwhelm, grief, or uncertainty.

I believe in honesty and transparency. I love to help people figure out how to manage their diagnosis (whether it is anxiety, ADHD, depression or potentially something else entirely!) and create strategies to support you across settings. I also am well versed in working with clients around topics like grief, aging, and PTSD.

Finally, I pride myself on being an affirming, LGBTQIA+ friendly counselor and wholeheartedly support coming to therapy exactly as you are. And, that is what my promise to you is too. Authenticity and compassion are guarantees. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for without judgment and without pressure to be anything other than yourself.

P.S. I will warn you, I have 2 cats and they are likely to drop in on our sessions! It is my hope your pets visit our telehealth sessions too!
